Cookies / Tracking and other technologies related to the use of our website

  • COOKIES

We typically use “cookies” and similar techniques on our websites that can be used to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or automatically stored on your computer or mobile device by the web browser you use when you visit our website.

Necessary cookies are mandatory for the operation of the website. These cookies are only used during a session and are deleted after your visit to the website (“session cookies”). An exception is the cookie, which is set by your choice in the cookie banner: a rejection of the optional cookies is only stored for the current session, a consent for one month.

We only use analytical cookies after your consent. These cookies allow us to learn more about the use of our website based on anonymized data and to continuously improve it. Analytical cookies are stored for a certain period (e.g., two years) (“persistent cookies”). This allows us to recognize you when you return to the website, even if we do not know who you are. You can opt out of the analytical cookies in the cookie banner on the home page. Accept or reject cookies in the cookie banner on the home page. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” in the footer of our website.

You can also set your browser so that it rejects cookies, stores them only for one session or otherwise deletes them prematurely. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you block cookies, certain functionalities (such as language selection) may no longer work.

  •  NEWSLETTERS AND MARKETING EMAILS

In our newsletters and other marketing e-mails, we incorporate visual and invisible image elements in part and, as far as permitted, by retrieving them from our servers, we can determine whether and when you have opened the e-mail, so that we can also measure and better understand how you can use our offers and tailor them to you. You can block this in your email program.

By using our websites and consenting to receive newsletters and other marketing emails, you consent to the use of these techniques. If you do not want this, then you must change your browser or browser. Set your e-mail program accordingly.

  • GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics on our websites. This is a third-party service that may be in any country in the world. Google Analytics allows us to measure and evaluate the use of the website (non-personal). For this purpose, permanent cookies are also used, which are set by the service provider. You can opt out of these cookies in the cookie banner.

The service provider does not receive any personal data from us (nor does it retain IP addresses), but it may track your use of the website, combine this information with data from other websites that you have visited and that are also tracked by the service provider, and use these findings for its own purposes (e.g. advertising control). If you have registered with the service provider yourself, the service provider also knows you. The processing of your personal data by the service provider is then the responsibility of the service provider in accordance with its data protection regulations. The service provider only tells us how our respective website is used (no information about you personally).
We have activated IP anonymization on this website, i.e. the IP addresses that Google Analytics collects for visitors to the website www.di-nav.com must necessarily be transmitted to the Google Analytics servers will be automatically shortened by the last digits within a short time. For more information, see Google Marketing Platform.

  • FRIENDLY CAPTCHA (BOT/SPAM-PROTECTION)

Our website uses the “Friendly Captcha” (www.friendlycaptcha.com) service.

Friendly Captcha is a privacy-friendly protection solution to make it more difficult to use our website through automated programs and scripts (so-called “bots”). We use Friendly Captcha to protect online forms on our website. The purpose of Friendly Captcha is to verify whether data is entered on our websites (e.g., in a contact form) by a human or by an automated program.

For this purpose, we have integrated a program code from Friendly Captcha into the forms of our website so that the visitor’s device can establish a connection to the servers of Friendly Captcha to receive a calculation task. The visitor’s device solves the calculation task, which takes up certain system resources, and sends the calculation result to our web server. The latter contacts the Friendly Captcha server via an interface and receives an answer as to whether the task has been solved correctly by the end device. Depending on the outcome, we may add security rules to requests made through our website, such as continuing to process or rejecting them.

Friendly Captcha does not set or read cookies on the visitor’s device.

IP addresses are only stored in hashed (one-way encrypted) form for a maximum of 30 days and do not allow us and Friendly Captcha to draw any conclusions about an individual. The data is used exclusively for the protection against spam and bots described above.

You can find more information about data protection when using Friendly Captcha under friendlycaptcha.com/legal/privacy-end-users/.

  • SOCIAL NETWORK PLUG-INS

We also use plug-ins from LinkedIn on our websites. This is visible to you in each case (typically via corresponding symbols). We have configured these items to be disabled by default. If you activate it (by clicking on it), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website and where and can use this information for their purposes. The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with its data protection regulations. We do not receive any information about you from him.
